OTTO Sydney x Cristiano Patacca (Pino’s Vino e Cucina)

For one night only, OTTO Sydney welcomes back Cristiano Patacca, Head Chef of Pino’s Vino e Cucina, for a special collaborative dinner with OTTO Sydney Head Chef Richard Ptacnik.

Fresh from Tuscany and newly arrived in Sydney, Cristiano Patacca joined the OTTO kitchen more than a decade ago, working alongside Head Chef Richard Ptacnik. It was one of the early chapters in a career that would take him across Sydney’s most esteemed kitchens including fine-dining establishment EST before arriving at Pino’s Al Mare, where he has since developed a style and identity all his own.

As Head Chef of Pino’s Al Mare, Cristiano is part of a modern generation of chefs putting their own stamp on Italian cooking in Sydney. At Pino’s, his food is generous, produce-driven and rooted in Italian tradition, while reflecting the years of experience he’s gathered across some of the city’s most respected kitchens.

Now, for one night only, he returns to OTTO for A Homecoming By Fire II, joining Richard for a four-course feast that brings their shared history and individual styles together. Expect dishes like Paradise prawns crudo, deep-fried cacio e pepe lasagna, fire-grilled Portoro sirloin and hazelnut tiramisu.

After all, the most memorable dinners are rarely just about the food and more about returning to old friends and discovering that some places never quite leave you. For Cristiano, that place is OTTO and for one night, he’s inviting you to pull up a chair on the wharf and feast.
