Escape To OTTO this winter for our very first Festa di Formaggi, a celebration of Italian cheese, with Sydney’s own Vannella Cheese.

Vannella make a variety of fresh, stretched curd cheeses that sing the traditions of Southern Italy.  Vannella was born in Conversano, Puglia by Pina Vannella and Vito Minoia. They are famous for making cheese like burrata, fior de latte, treccine, nodini, and scamorza, the traditional way by hand.

Gather waterside at OTTO to hear the story of Vannella, and watch, Giuseppe, a second-generation cheesemaker, son of Vito, in a live cheese stretching demonstration. Ask questions and try your hand at making burrata before sitting down for a four course OTTO & Vannella menu with paired wine. Every guest will receive an OTTO & Vannella gift bag to take home.
